Trust presents cheque for £450,000 for new digital x-ray equipment at West Berkshire Community Hospital

Greenham Common Trust presented a cheque for £450,000 to purchase the digital x-ray equipment for the new West Berkshire Community Hospital.
Sir Peter Michael, chairman of Greenham Common Trust said: “The digital x-ray equipment will allow the new hospital to provide the best clinical care possible to the people of West Berkshire. The Trust considered this to be such a significant and important project that was worthy of our full support and a decision was made to donate the full amount to enable the purchase of the equipment as quickly as possible.
“The support of such social projects is the raison d’être of the Greenham Common Trust and our careful management of Greenham Business Park will allow us to support other large scale projects in the years to come” he added.

Nick Galbraith, Chairman of the Newbury & Thatcham Hospital Buildings Trust says: “When we established the appeal to raise a total of £1 million the digital x-ray equipment was our priority. This massive donation by the Greenham Common Trust has allowed us to buy the equipment in full and has enabled us to focus our efforts on raising funds for additional apparatus necessary to equip the operating theatres and we are immensely grateful to the Greenham Common Trust for its overwhelming generosity.”
