Teddy Bears Pre-School, who meet in the Village Hall at Wickham, were awarded £500 to turn a boggy and confined outdoor play area into a rich environment for the children attending the Pre-school, which can also be used by the village and surrounding villages. Up until this, local people had no facilities at all for young children.

As well as the exciting new play equipment, a combination of bark shippings, rubber matting and grass made the new play area an all-weather, all-year-round facility.
