The Hungerford division of St John Ambulance were given £1,000 to update research and training literature and facilities for local members. This will make weekly training meetings more accessible than the trips to HQ at Woodley in the past.

The reference library of text books and videos can be referred to locally by all St John Ambulance members and is of special use for younger members, who receive regular training in all aspects of first aid, and in manual handling, defibrillating techniques, health and safety and care to the community.
