The Trust gave £1,000 to help with the costs of providing a second Readibus vehicle.

The grant helped towards raising the matched funding needed to increase the level of service to meet the demand from the elderly and people with restricted mobility to travel to and from the relatively isolated village communities in the West Berkshire area.

Mobility is a key issue for the elderly and disabled in West Berkshire, who would otherwise find it difficult, or even impossible, to get out and about, do things for themselves, and participate in community events.

The Readibus is in continuous use on a daily basis.
