Greenham Common Trust announces Youth
Distribution Committee Member Schools

Greenham Common Trust has announced the details of the schools that will provide representatives for its new Youth Distribution Committee in 2003.

The committee, that will make recommendations to the Trust's full distribution committee concerning the allocation of charitable awards totalling £10,000, is to be drawn from the following schools:

The Clere School, Burghclere
The Downs School, Compton
The Hurst Community School, Tadley
Kennet School, Thatcham
Little Heath School, Tilehurst
Theale Green Community School, Reading

The Youth Distribution Committee will consider all applications received by the Trust for awards of under £2,000.

Chairman of the Greenham Common Trust's distribution committee, Tony Ferguson says: "The involvement of the Youth Distribution Committee will ensure that as wide a selection of age groups as possible have an influence on the allocation of the charitable awards. We are keen that the whole community is represented in the decision making process."

The Trust's charitable awards in 2003 will total £110,000 and the closing dates for applications are as follows:
Standard awards (under £10,000) - 29th March.
Major awards (£10,000 and over) - 30th April.
