Trust announces £40,000 increase in level of funding for 2007
Greenham Common Trust has announced a £40,000 increase in the amount of funding that it will be distributing to local charities and social projects via its annual awards in 2007. The announcement, made at the Trust's annual event at the Newbury Corn Exchange on Thursday evening, confirmed that funding for the Trust's standard awards (up to £9,999) will rise to £120,000 and funding for the major awards (£10,000 and over) will rise to £100,000. The standard awards include £10,000 to be allocated by the Trust's Youth Distribution Committee which is drawn from teenagers attending local secondary schools. Application forms for the Greenham Common Trust's annual awards 2007 are now available. The closing date for applications for standard awards is Friday December 8th and the closing date for applications for major awards is Friday January 12th. Stuart Tagg, chief executive of Greenham Common Trust says: The success of the Trust's investment in New Greenham Park has enabled us to increase the funding for our annual awards by a further £40,000 for 2007. These reactive annual awards form an important element of our work and are in addition to the other funding and financial commitments which will total over £1 million this financial year.
