Greenham Common Trust presented with Queen's Award for Enterprise by Lord-Lieutenant
Following the presentation those attending were able to look at exhibits and displays by some of the tenants at New Greenham Park, along with some of the organisations that the Trust has supported, including Greenham Youth & Community Project, Speed-trap.com ltd, Thames Valley Energy and West Berkshire Libraries. Sir Peter Michael, says: The Trust is justifiably proud of receiving the Queen's Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development. We believe that sustainable development is as much about society as it is about the environment. It is about improving the places we live and work in and providing every element of society with the opportunity of contributing to the well being of the wider community. Stuart Tagg, Chief Executive of the Greenham Common Trust adds: Sustainability has been central to the philosophy of the Trust since it was established in 1997. The careful management of the Trust's investment over the last six years is producing a significant and sustainable flow of money for local charities and social projects.
