Trust Announces Increase
for 2006 Annual Grant Aid Funding

Local projects benefit from Trust Grants

Greenham Common Trust has announced that its annual grant aid funding to local charities, organisations and projects will increase to £180,000 in 2006, representing an increase of £20,000 over the funds distributed through the Trust’s 2005 annual awards.

Applications For the Trust’s 2006 grant aid awards are now available and will need to be submitted by Friday December 9th for the standard awards (up to £9,999) and Friday January 13th for the major awards (£10,000 and over).

Stuart Tagg, chief executive of Greenham Common Trust says: “The funding for our annual awards comes from the income generated by our investment in New Greenham Park and the ongoing success of the business park has enabled us to increase the funding we are making available through our grant aid for 2006.

“These reactive annual awards form an important element of our work and are in addition to the other funding and financial commitments which will total over £1,250,000 in the current financial year.”

The Trust’s grant aid for 2006 will be allocated as follows:

Standard awards: £100,000
Major awards: £80,000

The standard awards include £10,000 to be allocated by the Trust’s Youth Distribution Committee, drawn from teenagers from local secondary schools.

Further information and application forms are available on the grant aid pages or by phoning Melissa Elliott on 01635 817444.
