The Greenham Common Trust Distribution Committee has announced the names of the organisations that have been successful in their application for the Trust's 2002 Standard Awards.

At a meeting on the 28th May all the applications were considered and discussed with a decision taken on those that the distribution committee felt most merited an award. The level of the each award was also agreed.

The total sum of the Standard Awards being made to charities and community projects in Hampshire and West Berkshire in 2002 is £61,965, higher than in previous years.

Chairman of the Greenham Common Trust's distribution committee, Tony Ferguson says: “The ongoing success of New Greenham Park as a thriving business location has enabled us to announce a record amount of standard grants for 2002. In particular we are delighted to have been able to fund a number of applications in full.”

Chief Executive of Greenham Common Trust, Stuart Tagg says: “Greenham Common Trust is now five years old and since 1997 the income generated by New Greenham Park has allowed the distribution of well over three quarters of a million pounds to good causes and charity work in the community.”
