Art on the Park

2007 is the 10th Anniversary Year of 'Art on the Park' - Newbury's unique showcase of original work by local artists and craftspeople in Park Way, Newbury. Events this year, funded by Greenham Common Trust, are on Sunday 27th May and again on Sunday 26th August, from 10am till 4pm.

The general public can expect a feast of affordable art - original paintings, framed or just mounted, hung from the railings of Victoria Park, also 'one off' ceramics, original wood work designs, jewelry and other handicrafts.

Much more than a sale - this is an exhibition of local talent as well as a social occasion for all art lovers. There is no pressure to buy - browsing and chatting to the artists is encouraged.

'Art on the Park' events attract established professional as well as amateur painters. It is also an important opportunity for talented post graduates to get a public reaction to their work.

This exhibition, together with live music from the Bandstand and the growing number of activities of the Fringe Festival, will make an exciting day out for art lovers.
