Hullabaloo over Hallowe'en

HUNDREDS poured into Newbury Market Place at the weekend for the fright of their lives during the latest spooky Hallowe'en Hullabaloo celebrations.

The Hullabaloo, now in its third year, is the latest in the Newbury Outdoor Events programme, which is funded by Greenham Common Trust and managed by Newbury Corn Exchange.

Families from across Berkshire dressed up in their scariest outfits and descended on the town to take part in the event, which began at half past four at Parkway with a parade through Northbrook Street of youngsters, parents and theatrical groups.

Live music from local band Bib Fortuna got the crowds rocking, and fire-eaters, face-painters, gruesome caricatures pumpkin compeittion and Panto Performances at the Corn Exchange there was a lot to keep the crowds entertained. A dramatic fireworks finale rounded off the evening at 8pm.

Keep posted to find out the latest spectauclar outdoor event in Newbury!
