'FUTURE ME' By Stephen Brown Directed by Guy Retallack
"What I'm asking is, can you really erase things? Wipe them completely?"
Peter often works late. A promising young barrister, he's about to move in with his girlfriend. Then one day his computer sends out an email to everyone he knows, with an attachment that no one can bear to look at. From the strange alliances of a prison segregation unit, to the trials of life on the outside, Future Me, the new work from the writer and director of Filter Theatre's 'Faster', told an epic story of ordinary monsters. In the mould of the BBC's drama 'Fiona's Story', Future Me was a challenging, fearless and moving piece about redemption and society's ability to deal with deviance.
Future Me was a challenging piece dealing with adult issues of child abuse and sexuality. The Corn Exchange was working with producer Sue Scott Davison as part of their Evolve programme, and as part of their support they presented a preview performance of Future Me at New Greenham Arts before its tour.
