THE BLUE HOURS Hosted by Barb Jungr
Acclaimed cabarettist Barb Jungr, winner of New York's prestigious Backstage 2003 International Artist of the Year award for cabaret, hosted a new monthly night at New Greenham Arts. Inspired by her successful Café Prague night in Brighton, Barb introduces guests who'll entertain with a wide mix of European cabaret muusic.
In this month's music night host Barb Jungr presented David
Tughan, a jazz singer who brings the past and present together with a repertoire of classics rendered with imagination and a beautiful tone. David's articulate and witty interpretation of classic up-tempo numbers and ballads is tasteful yet dynamic. Complemented with a smattering of considered and elegant scatting, David displays a great range and versatility in his vocal approach. David is also a TV, radio and stage actor.
His light voice and crisp diction are
ideally suited to fast tempos and witty lyrics both of which he handleswith tremendous aplomb. The Observer |
