'NOW' was a reflection of the diversity and development of the Studio 8 artists' work. Juliet Neale made rich blue glazed functional domestic objects. Jonathan Diorio reflected upon man/nature and technology in his raku kiln-fired pieces. Barry Chamberlain organically created large scale metal sculptures. Flora Gare's pieces showed the qualities of light and its ability to transform space. Sally Haynes looked at science through art. Sally, Shirley Eccles and Margaret Hodges, through traditional and modern media, explored the world and how we communicate. Paul Forsey painted increasingly political large scale abstracts to small, modern iconic pieces. Maureen Riley's oil paintings were exploring dance.
