'THE MAN WHO CRACKED' Spike Theatre
George is the announcer on the smash hit soap opera 'Hey, Mr Postman'. When the show's star is struck down unlikely George finds fame's bright light shining his way. But fame isn't always what it's cracked up to be. This darkly comic tale of paranoia and celebrity was set in a world of television networks and picket fence neighbourhoods. Drawing inspiration from films 'Pleasantville' and 'The Truman Show' and authors Phillip K Dick and Isaac Asimov, Spike took on Americana, and the reds in the bed scaremongering of the '50s sci-fi boom. Directed by Glenn Noble, music by Simon James with a cast of five actors.
