Set in Belfast in 1993, the play showed how ingrained prejudice and bigotry affect the lives of ordinary people. Confronted by the divide between Protestant and Catholic, football fan and father of two Kenneth McCallister, played by James Elliott, is shocked into overcoming his social conditioning and begins to think of himself as Irish rather than Irish Protestant.
