HIP HOPSTORY Kompany Malakhi
With four B Boys (breakdancers), a DJ and a huge video screen, an MC (rapper) told us the history of hip hop. Starting from the 1970's, the action went from street corners and basketball courts to night clubs, with a splattering of graffiti art along the way.
Choreographer Kwesi Johnson is part of a new generation of black artists, fusing hip hop, martial arts, contemporary, jazz and African dance. |
