CHRISTINE COLLISTER
Described by Q Magazine as: …one of the world's finest grown up vocalists on the planet, Christine Collister's distinctive and powerful voice crossed the musical spectrum of soul, blues, pop, jazz, country and folk. She began her career as a choirgirl and in the mid-80s that she drew the attention of the mainland when she sang the theme tune for the BBC TV series 'The Life and Loves of a She Devil'. Collister recorded and toured with The Richard Thompson Band and then followed a seven year partnership with Clive Gregson, a musical relationship which Rolling Stone referred to as: the state of the art in British folk-rock. Christine went solo in 1992 and her early albums were all received with huge press accolades. |
