JOHN KIRKPATRICK & ROY BAILEY
Described as the 'veteran giants of the British international folk scene', John Kirkpatrick and Roy Bailey performed their self-penned traditional and modern tunes.
John and Roy began their musical careers more than 40 years ago and have collaborated for many years. At the forefront of British folk music and song, both musicians have knocked up a fair number of band memberships. Roy formed the Band of Hope with John, Martin Carthy, Dave Swarbrick and Steafan Hannigan, was in The Three City Four in the mid sixties, and worked with Stalking Horses. John has worked with The Albion Band, the Albion Country Band, Steeleye Span, the Richard Thompson Band and Brass Monkey.
