'5 DAYS TO MAP A WORLD' led by Simon Pearce
A hidden meaning in a family snapshot, the reflection in a spoon, a discarded can of Coke, a piece of flint, a CD, a text message, an old book, a news clipping, a shopping list, a bag of crisps ? A hidden code that may be a key to another world ? By reinterpreting the meaning of everyday objects and language we will create a new set of symbols, inventing a new language using drawing, painting, printing and basic construction - a new language to construct a giant 3-D/2-D Map in the gallery space at NGA - a new world map in five days. |
