'INFORMEL' - an exhibition by the Studio 8 artists. 'Art Informel' describes a tendency within modernism which distinguished itself from the cool, rational forms produced elsewhere by pursuing the formless, the asymmetrical, the irrational. The informel speaks of the obverse, the undisclosed, the notion that there is a side of things we never see or consider. Here 9 very different artists brought their own interpretation to bear on the theme, producing work in a range of media, including painting, sculpture and installation.
