The Rep College's 'THE ORESTEIA' by Aeschylus. Aeschylus takes as his subject the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos - a chain finally broken only by the intervention of the goddess Athene. What is justice? How is it related to vengeance? Can justice be reconciled with the demands of religion, the violence of human feeling, the forces of Fate? These questions provide the theme for the Oresteian Trilogy - questions which are still asked today.
"The Rep Collage offers a practical course for actors, designers and technicians training for the theatre and is based on an idea by actor Tom Conti...Tom Conti says: "As every working actor knows, the only way to learn is by doing it, rehearsing and performing the play, not talking about it endlessly, improvising or pretending to be a bloody snowdrop."
