Dr Jon Pengelly's 'Work in Progress' Exhibition, as part of his 'Year of the Artist' Residency, entitled 'HOLDING PATTERN'. The work consisted of rapid prototyping models, plaster casts, photographs and an interactive computer monitor. All the work has resulted from ideas derived from working on site in what used to be the American military base during the cold war years. Jon was working towards the production of a climbing wall, the final rubber casts becoming the foot and hand clasps for this wall. See the residencies page for more information.
"The exhibition itself is exciting in its surprise value, a whole wall of cream coloured objects scattered apparently randomly against a white background. It also has value in its educational and information roles." Fiona Robinson, Newbury Weekly News |
