The Open Studio Scheme (in conjunction with Newbury Spring Festival) returned to the Gallery this year with a 'MILLENNIUM EXHIBITION'. The exhibition gave visitors an introduction to the works of all the artists whose studios could be visited during the Festival.

"The artists featured are mainly professional, or aspiring to be, so work is of a reliably high standard, and while many have a long track record of excellence, several this year are new to the scheme. The exhibition has been well hung, making for a lively experience, and the inevitable clashes to the mind and eye of a mixed show have been largely avoided."
