“Shape, pattern, repetition, and texture are all consistent qualities of my paintings, coupled with a strong linear design. I am influenced by my cultural English roots having lived and worked in Berkshire all my life. I am aware of my immediate rural environment and draw ideas from this. My emotions about my subject matter are reflected in the marks I make on the canvas, making my work tactile and impressionistic.”
