Greenham Common Trust works in close partnership with the local community providing financial support for charitable projects and purposes in West Berkshire and the northern edges of North Hampshire.
The Trust has become one of the most important grant providers and sources of charitable funds in the Newbury and surrounding areas. Since its establishment in 1997 Greenham Common Trust has invested several million pounds and distributed over £11,500,000 of grants and financial awards to organisations and projects in the North Hampshire and West Berkshire area through its programme of annual awards.
This includes £770,000 of funding towards the restoration of Greenham Common, a charitable grant of £450,000 to buy a digital X-Ray machine for the West Berkshire Community Hospital, a £550,000 grant award to the North Hampshire based Pelican Cancer Foundation, a charitable donation of £150,000 to the Dolphin Centre in Pangbourne, and funding of £570,000 to the Watermill Theatre, Bagnor.
In addition, the Trust provided £1.7 million to build the Slater Centre, a community resource for local voluntary organisations, and spends around £200,000 each year funding New Greenham Arts, both based at New Greenham Park.
If you are looking to raise funding for a local charity, a social enterprise or a community project in the Newbury area, we would like to hear from you.
