Flora Gare comes from a background in sculpture.
Over the past six years she has been developing work that investigates light; creating both temporary and permanent installations for public and private spaces. These sculptural installations use maps of the stars, road maps and collected data as mechanisms to dictate their formation.
The work draws upon themes of simplicity and complexity, what is seen and unseen. Evocative of rain, sunlight and moonlight they redefine the space, inviting reflection upon our perception of nature.
